The school plays an active part in the local community and there is strong support for the school from local residents. The village website can be accessed here.

We are supported by different charities and businesses in the local area.

We have recently been gifted some money by The Robert Windle Foundation, a registered charity whose role is to provide help with education to the youth of the ancient parish of Thornton-in-Craven, which includes Thornton, Earby, Kelbrook and Harden. For further information see here: https://www.robertwindlefoundation.org/

We were lucky enough to be gifted half of the proceeds from The Tempest Arms, Elslack Christmas quiz. Thank you to Chris and the team for this generous donation. For further information see here; Historic Cosy Hotel & Inn – Tempest Arms

The school holds services at St Mary's Church, Thornton-in-Craven at key points in the year. We are always warmly welcomed by Reverend Robert Findlow and other parishioners.

We have been supported by Herd and Hive on the start of our beekeeping journey. They are an incredibly knowledgable small family team who sell their honey, make and sell handmade goat soap as well as support novices on beekeeping. They can be found each week on Skipton market or here: https://herdandhive.co.uk/

We ask that families who drive to school park responsibly, away from the school and without blocking driveways or footpaths, taking into consideration the safety of children and adults.

By maintaining courtesy towards the village residents, we can maintain our excellent relationship with them.
