Our school took part in Happy Shoes Day on Tuesday 19th May, and we loved that all children to joined in! On the day, children were invited to walk, cycle, scoot, or park and stride to school wearing their favourite, comfiest or most colourful pair of shoes. These could be colourful, sparkly, decorated, cosy, sporty or delightfully quirky — anything that puts a smile on their face! This event is being held to raise money for the charity Living Streets, who help make our streets safer for everyone and support the Walk to School Challenge that our school is currently taking part in. We are also very pleased to share that 50% of all money raised will be given back to our school, which we will use to help fund a new bike/scooter shed for our pupils. Donations can be made by scanning the QR code on the event poster or by visiting https:// superkind.org/campaign/thornton-in-craven-cp-school-happy-shoes-day. Thank you for your continued support.
